This is my first review in Amazon.
I really like the computer. It is fast and the graphics are what I expected.
I am not a computer geek, I do not know what all the bells and whistles are from the machines spec sheet, but I did some research and this exceeds my current needs.
I typically purchase a new computer every 4 years.
I typically do a lot of research and try and get the most bang for my buck. (This model was actaully cheaper on the HP Website by $-200, but it was not available). There are similar systems for cheaper (Toshiba and Acer) however I paid for the HP name.
I purchased the touchscreen, TV tuner and a couple of other features which I do not think I need. however I want the ability to use these features if I need them in the next few years.
I have only used the computer for a few days (playing video games and working on spreadsheetss for my taxes) so far the visuals are awesome screen is much larger than I am used to (17" laptop)
The touchscreen is neat, but not sure i need it. Could have saved myself some money without it, but there may be an application in the next couple of years where it is necessary, so I bought it.
My only complaint is with Windows 8.
It is difficult to get used to. I am not a tablet user and do not use the cloud for anything.
Also I am not on Facebook and I am sick of constantly being asked to import or export everything to/from Facebook.
Biggest struggle has been importing email and my contacts. Still haven't been able to import my contacts...
Like the computer, windows 8 is tough, but I am getting used to it.
